Meridiem Insula Ventis Premiere Concert

The inaugural concert of the Meridiem Insula Ventis ensemble is presented to offer young, local musicians the opportunity to hear a professional wind ensemble performing both standard and new repertoire written for concert band. Under the direction of George Corwin, the ensemble will model a professional level of ensemble sound and musicality, meant to inspire the audience of student musicians from local band programs. Proceeds from the concert will form a new scholarship fund for local students planning to pursue studies in music.
The membership of this ensemble includes professional musicians who also perform with the Victoria Symphony, the Victoria Operatic Society and the Naden Band of Maritime Forces Pacific. It includes music educators from the Greater Victoria School District, Sooke School District and the Saanich School District as well as students from the University of Victoria.
All tickets $5.00
Children under 2 free however ticket must be requested through the UVic Ticket Centre at 250-721-8480.
