Mehmani: Celebrate 2015 with The Didi Society

Mehmani means "guest" or "celebration of guests" and that is entirely our events purpose. We at The Didi Society invite you to partake in our annual celebration for all of our volunteers commitment, our impact and the communities contributions.

The Didi Society has put in extensive work throughout the 5 years we have been operating to empower women globally and educate youth locally and if that isn't enough of a reason to celebrate, then what is? Our hope is that you will attend this evening with us which will include delicious Indian food (3 course family style dinner), unique and lively entertainment, a henna artist, local Bollywood dancers, spectacular silent auction prizes and, of course, some momentous celebrations together.

The evening will be organized by a team of passionate and energetic Hospitality Management students attending Camosun College, who have all expressed their admiration of The Didi Societies mission and plan on creating the most successful and entertaining Mehmani yet! In past years, Mehmani has been one of our most successful fundraisers, providing essential funding for our operations with fair trade co-operatives in India and Guatemala, educating local youth on social justice, gender equality and sustainable development issues and grant programs.

It's truly a blessing when you are able to support this meaningful organization and simultaneously have such an enjoyable evening!
