Noted for his unique outlined interpretive style and bold use of color, Barry�s paintings of Canadian scenery reflect his passion for life and the environment. His work has been collected in over 100 countries around the world and in every state of the USA. Barry was born in Victoria BC Canada and has lived near the ocean throughout his life. He currently works from his home-studio on Piers Island near Sidney BC and in Mexico.

The large brightly colored Koi fish found in many botanical gardens are also popular subjects. �I think Koi are one of Natures perfect art forms. I love their rich vibrant colors and how they move with Zen-like grace.� Many of Barry�s Koi paintings incorporate principles of Feng-Shui for good luck and prosperity

Barry has enjoyed a long and successful interest in the visual arts beginning with the sale of an oil painting and sculpture at age 15. In 1995 he decided to pursue a full time art career that has skyrocketed ever since. Today, Barry paints more than 50 new original works on canvas each year, and self produces a wide range of gicl�e prints on fine art papers and canvas. Almost half of his paintings go to international destinations.
