Medieval Days and "Knights" at The Raptors

"Medieval Days and Knights" is both a fundraiser for our sister organization The Raptor Rescue Society, and also just a SUPER cool and fun event for the Cowichan Valley.  

 The Raptor Rescue Society (RRS) is a non-profit group dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured wildlife and birds. They treat over 120 injured birds per year, and run a small hospital primarily supported by The Raptors Visitor Centre. Each year residents find injured eagles, owls, and various other raptors and wildlife – and often call the RRS. We do our best to work with our group of dedicated volunteers and amazing veterinary care offered by Island Vet Hospital in Nanaimo, to help injured birds and return them to the wild.   

 Medieval Days and Knights is a fun, spirited event revolving around the popularity of birds of prey and falconry in the 15th and 16th century. It will feature many themed activities throughout the day, including flight demonstrations, archery, sword fighting, a bbq, medieval themed music, and a Medieval Market!
