MEC Victoria: Bike Maintenance 101 - Customize Your Bike

This course will teach you:

- know the basic skills required to swap out pedals and saddle
- how to select the proper tires for your usage
- how to install a set of Planet Bike fenders
- how MEC's cycling staff and bike mechanics can help them assess their needs and fit requirements for more unique/unusual situations

This is a knowledge-based clinic, and we will provide you with all of the materials you might need. Come with your questions and sense of adventure. Bringing your own bicycle is not necessary; there will be one available for the demonstrations.

All of our Bike Maintenance clinics meet in the cycling department.

NOTE: Join us every Wednesday evening for Bike Maintenance Clinic from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. The 101 clinic is designed to go over basic details to help keep your bike in working order. Please note that all of our 101 clinics are only $10, are limited to 10 people and are a recommended prerequisite to attending one of our more advanced 201 clinics.

These clinics are taught by our experienced MEC staff and cover a different topic each week, on a four week rotation.
