Sundays: August 28 to October 30 | 9 am to 10:30 am

This gradual training program is designed to prepare participants who are already comfortable running 7-10km on the road to running a 10km trail race. The clinic is geared towards adapting your road running skills to the varied terrain of trail running to enable you to reach your 10km trail race goals at MEC Race FIVE: The Grand Banana, and most importantly having fun exploring the beautiful trails around Victoria!

Weekly sessions will consist of a pre-run chat/discussion covering topics such as trail safety, form, nutrition, trail gear, and more, followed by a 1-1.5 hour group run session. Note the length of these sessions is longer due to the additional time it takes to run on trails vs road as the terrain is often more technical and undulating. A training plan will be provided to you at the first session and weekly emails will keep you in touch with your coach and on-top of the training plan.

Participants will meet at the designated trail area set out in calendar. Take note of the google map links to know which parking lot you will be meeting your group at.

Value Added: All Clinic participants will receive one free entry into a MEC Race Series event. This clinic is geared to prepare you for MEC Victoria Race FIVE: The Grand Banana 10K, on October 30th 2016 at Elk Lake Regional Park
