This gradual training program is designed to prepare participants who are already comfortable running 10k to run a Half Marathon over the course of 12 weeks.
Participants often begin at different levels of fitness and are encouraged to complete each training session to the best of their ability. The Run a Half Marathon program is based on 4 day/week training plan, allowing you to run 20+km at the end of the clinic. It is progressive and fun, and the amount of running varies, with the introduction of strength/hill training and speed training, to help you achieve your goals.
Experience running at least 10km is required and recommended. Weekly sessions will consist of a 25 min class covering topics such as form, nutrition, injury prevention, GPS/Heart Rate, Making a Training plan, Cross Training, and more, followed by a 30 - 60min group run session. A training plan will be provided to you at the first session outlining the entire clinic. Weekly emails will keep you in touch with your coach and on-top of the training plan.
