MEC Bike Maintenance 101: Flat Repair Clinic

Join us every Wednesday evening for a beginner Bike Maintenance Clinic. The 101 clinic is designed to go over basic details to help keep your bike in working order.

Please note that all of our 101 clinics are a recommended prerequisite to attending one of our more advanced 201 clinics.

Flat Repair 101

This is a hands-on clinic lead by an experienced member of the cycling staff. By the end of this clinic participants will be familiar with all of the skills required to replace a flat, including:
 
- Wheel removal
- Brake detachment ('V", canti and disc)
- Tire removal (use of tire levers)
- Tube removal (presta and schrader)
- Tube replacement and repair
 
We will provide all the tools and materials you need for this clinic. Please come with questions and the willingness to get your hands a little dirty!
 
All Bike Maintenance Clinics meet in the Cycling Department.
 
*Clinics are non-refundable, but are transferable.
