MEC Backcountry 101 - Multi-day Backpacking Clinic

Join our camping specialists every Saturday morning from 11:00am-12Noon for a free one-hour clinic designed to introduce you to the equipment required for a safe and comfortable trip.

By the end of the session participants will be familiar with the essential equipment required for an overnight hiking/camping adventure, including:

- The 10 Essentials
- Appropriate Footwear
- Clothing and Layering Systems
- Cooking Systems
- Sleeping Systems
- Understand the importance of a properly fitting backpack and learn how to pack your own
 
We will provide all of the materials you need for this clinic. Come with your questions and a sense of adventure!
 
Please meet in the camping department, in the south end of our store.  As weather permits, we may hold this clinic on our patio.
