Sanctuary, the five song debut of Vancouver Island Folk-Rockers Maverick Cinema, is an elegant harmony of loss, and acceptance.. With emotional lyrics blended famously with foot stomping drum beats, and melodic guitars Sanctuary will grasp hold of you, and leave you wanting more. Giving the picture of vast British Columbian forests, and the fierce waves of the West Coast. Maverick Cinema’s first studio effort is truly a reflection of the place they call home. Sanctuary was recorded with with Mike Edel, and mixed by Juno Award winning Producer Colin Stewart (Dan Mangan, New Pornogrophers). After the release of Sanctuary, the band was able to successfully tour BC, and Alberta, as well as perform at Rifflandia Music Festival.
