Matthew Lien is a Yukon-based multiplatinum international recording artist whose music celebrates the beauty of nature, life and love. As a pianist, singer, composer, and producer, Lien’s original instrumental and vocal compositions incorporate Celtic, European folk, light jazz, classical, traditional, and natural elements. Whether he is performing with a full band or solo, Lien possesses a rare ability to create a transformative musical experience that has endeared him to audiences here in North America and internationally.
Lien’s current solo performance tour features songs from his recently released 16th album, Headwaters – Music of the Peel River Watershed. This album is Lien’s musical interpretation of the 550-km canoe expedition of this pristine Yukon wilderness.
