Matson Conservation Area Invasive Plant Removal Day
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Team up with your friends at Habitat Acquisition Trust to remove invasive plants from the Matson Conservation Area along the scenic West Song Walkway. We will follow up with planting and seeding native wildflowers, shrubs, and grasses to create a thriving habitat for pollinators and other wildlife. After pulling those pesky plants, join us for social hour and a refreshing beverage at Spinnaker's Brewpub from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. The next day, weather permitting, we will be planting and seeding native plants that support the pollinator community, and restore the last remaining Garry Oak Ecosystem in the Inner Harbour.
Join us for one day or both, we'll be glad for your community service either way! This event is sponsored by TD Friends of the Environment and Wildlife Preservation Canada. Please contact [email protected] for further information and to participate in the event.
