What has a computer scientist learned from hiking with large-format cameras to shoot remote wilderness vistas and retreating glaciers? In an evening of stories and photography, Mary Sanseverino will lead a visual tour of UVic’s Mountain Legacy Project, which investigates environmental change in Western Canada by recreating classic historical mountain photographs.
Registration is required for this free lecture series. Please email [email protected] or call 250-721-6369 to register. Please note the new location for this year: David Turpin Building, room A120. If you do not have a UVic parking permit, evening permits are available in all lots for $2.25.
Parking lot #4, by the stadium, is the closest to David Turpin Building. Doors open at 6:30PM for the 7:00PM lecture. The Masterminds lecture series is co-hosted by the UVic Retirees Association and the Centre on Aging, with the support of the University of Victoria. The 2015 series is held Wednesday evenings, on April 8th to 29th.
