Hailing from an obscure, secluded little island off the coast of B.C., Marley Daemon is a new breed of folk songstress. Drawing on a strange array of cross-cultural artistic influences (jazz, Celtic, magic literature, ecology, Wicca, eastern spirituality and Indian Classical to name a few), she weaves pieces of music that push into unexplored territory, uncovering raw human emotions.

Jazz and classical-trained, Daemon brings both high artistry and a passionate sensibility to her soul-filled singing and her performances on piano, guitar and accordion. With strikingly honest lyrics exploring the questions surrounding human identity, and musical flavours ranging from faery-tale folk, creative rock, sassy cabaret and orchestral tribal heart-songs, Daemon serves up a musical feast for the heart.

Marley released her debut album, Heart to Sky, in 2010, and has spent her time since then touring solo, recording and touring with her band Dirty Grace, studying clowning, meditation and psychology, and performing circus arts and music in Asia. This fall she has been working with producer/musician Jesse Thom on her next solo album “Abandon”, which will be released in the spring of 2015.
