New works by Georgia Angelopoulos and Miles Lowry

Calligrapher Georgia Angelopolous and artist Miles Lowry draw from the visual and literary traditions of their respective heritage. Connecting to the roots
of language and cultural identity their works convey layered meanings from their ancient origins to the contemporary. As pilgrims of a kind, their individual travels have allowed them to experience first-hand the important artifacts of historic poets, artists and scribes. Together, their marks of devotion meet in calligraphy and fine arts, fusing new directions and finding collaborative expression. By pulling words into paintings and paintings into script the two decipher a mysterious balance of meaning and gesture.
