Mark McGregor: An Evening of Contemporary Flute and Electronics

Described as a musician of “huge physical energy,” flutist Mark Takeshi McGregor has been lauded by the press as “mind-blowing” and “verging on the superhuman.” McGregor will perform an all Canadian program of contemporary flute music. This concert will include the world premiere of a new work for alto flute and electronics by Toronto composer Gregory Lee Newsome, and Stefan Maier.
The program will be rounded out with pieces by West Coast and composers with Victoria connections.
