Marie Nagel's abstract landscapes capture an elemental quality of our West Coast environment. She harnesses the wind and energy of our wild coast without trying to be representational. Marie is a member of Victoria's Al Frescoes plein air painting group.

"Painting is the way for me to have a strong voice," says Nagel. "I like thick paint...and just the act of painting is the most important thing in the world to me."
