~ 4 Week Workshop ~ Mandalas as a daily meditation practice If you have been searching for a sustainable daily meditation practice and coming up empty, this workshop just might be for YOU!

My Story: Using mandalas as a meditation tool has been my daily practice for awhile, and the reason for taking it out of my studio and into the world is simple ... it is working in pretty phenomenal ways. It is sustainable. It is enjoyable. It has informed me in ways I truly didn’t expect. I have struggled to find a sustainable practice that would nourish me. I am not a good meditator. I love the idea of yoga, but never stay with it for very long. Although I am a writer, I don’t like to journal. So, I was having a difficult time finding something that would give me what I needed, a sustainable daily practice of focus and listening. Silly me, it was here all along.

I have taken materials I have created over several years and combined them in a way I didn’t originally anticipate. I’ve added this to the focussed practice direction from my mentor Liz Garratt of Harmony By Design. Each session, in the workshop or on your own, will centre around the colouring of a mandala. Each card has both an image and a word. Colouring begins. This is not to be rushed. When words come up, jot them down. You will likely make many connections in the quiet of your colouring.

This is about INNER meaning. About what you need to hear and/or tell yourself in this moment. It is not about symbols, colours or OUTER meaning. Exploring. Discovering. Uncovering. Listening. These are the elements of what this is all about. There is an ease in this practice. You just need to show up and listen. It’s not the finished piece that you are focussed on - it’s the act of showing up and doing it every day. Giving yourself this time each day to listen to your own wise self. It’s the feeling of pencil on paper. Your hand moving and creating. Opening up new neural pathways in your brain. My desire is to introduce you to a practice that will sustain you, as much as it does me. ~sarah j. clark The POWER of this is in its SIMPLICITY.
