Come to the Big Coombs Dance, and boogie your buns off with the popular Maloomba Boogie Band!
The Malloomba Boogie band started in 1991 and 5 of the 6 members are original. The 6th member has been with the band for 12 years. We play good old-fashioned rock&roll from the 50s and 60s to the 80s and 90s.
The band consists of rhythm and bass guitar, alto and tenor saxes, drums, and a lead vocalist who also plays the Blues harp. Many people say our best feature is the saxophones.
We have been one of the top drawing bands at the Frontiersman Pub for many years ever since we first auditioned there in 1991 and started performing there very soon after.
We have played for the Qualicum Beach Chamber of Commerce Fantasy auction at least 10 times and are currently booked again for this November. We have also been the feature band on Sunday night at the Comox Nautical Days on the BC day long weekend for the last 3 years and are currently booked again for this year.
