“Make it Happen Monday” is a fundraising lunch focused on families and individuals in need in the Comox Valley. This event is focused on providing support to a family in the area of youth and dental.

“In the Dental world, there are many families that just miss governmental aid for their children’s dental health and this fundraiser is with that exact fact close at heart”, says Kory Wagstaff, owner of Prime Chophouse & Winebar. “This fundraiser lunch is based on the idea that there are many individual and family stories in the Comox Valley where people truly need a hand up to make life happen and thrive into the future.”

The family chosen will have $2,500 of dental work covered by Dr. Wade Luksay & Riverway Dental at their own expense to aid in helping this deserving family. The proceeds from this event through meals, silent auction, and 50/50 will go to help support their dental needs over the next few years above the gracious help from Dr. Luksay.

A note from the family the group is supporting: “We are a family with four children. We run a small business and a few years back, with the economy crash, our business income took a big hit. We have had to make huge life changes. We have no extended health plan and our children each need dental work. Any expendable income goes completely to our children, their activities and interests. As we re-develop our business income, go to work outside the home and save everything we make, we can't make ends meet. We have been struggling yet slowly and steadily working our way through our family expenses that keep adding up. We are and will be forever grateful for Dr. Wade Luksay and his office at Riverway Dental for helping our family out. We are emotional today and breathe a sigh of hope.”

The cost is $25 for lunch with $5 going to the family. Show up anytime between 11:30am to 2pm as this is a buffet lunch. For more information, email: [email protected]
