From Maritime farms and barns to national museums, from windy Winnipeg rooftops to playing two shows at the same time on the same night in two different rail cars, the acoustic duo Mad for Joy has played a stunning variety of shows in the last year promoting their debut EP, Vintage Rainbow.
In 2015, Mad for Joy (made up of Adam Kerby and Jocelyn Hallett) toured Canada as part of VIA Rail’s Artists on Board program, playing for passengers from Vancouver to Halifax and making stops for local shows across the country.
Currently, the dynamic duo is on Gabriola Island editing live material from their cross-country capers and releasing an album with accompanying mini-documentary about their recent cross-Canada touring experience called “Train Famous”.
Blending elements of roots, blues, folk, jazz and alt country, Mad for Joy is a dynamic and engaging duo that writes and performs dreamy and delightful songs with interwoven guitar parts and enchanting harmonies. The foundational vision of Mad for Joy is to produce uplifting music and bring joy to a wide variety of audiences.
