Join the Cumberland Museum and friends on February 8th to celebrate Cumberland�s historic Chinese community, and to welcome the year of the horse with a catered Lunar New Year Chinese dinner, drinks, lanterns, door prizes, an amazing silent auction, and special guest performers - All in support of the Cumberland Museum and Archives.
For 2014 we are thrilled to welcome the Vancouver Cantonese Opera for a special performance of �The Legend of the Purple Hairpin�. The Vancouver Cantonese Opera Society offers some of Canada�s best Cantonese Opera. Experience the elaborate makeup, highly colourful and embellished traditional Chinese dress, and the lyrical style of a unique traditional art form that dates back to the 13th century!
