Luke Guthrie is a songwriter, singer and guitar picker based on Vancouver Island. With over 175 live shows this year including three stellar performances at Vancouver Island Musicfest 2009, Luke Blu Guthrie is a growing presence in the Vancouver Island music scene. Influenced by a wide variety of styles from blues to pop, Luke has found an authentic singing and songwriting voice that reaches beyond his twenty-four years.
A lifetime of classical training and folk sensibilities have come together to form a unique sound and style in Alison Romanow. At home on the fiddle, trumpet or guitar, this astounding talent has an unusual ability to compose highly original tunes and bring them to life with her agile voice. Amidst rave reviews of their live shows together and an outpouring of public support and enthusiasm, these two musicians are not to be missed.
Join hosts Judy and Bruce Wing for the 1st Tuesday concert series at the Mex Pub. Proceeds for January's concert will support the Comox Valley Food Bank Society. Cash or food donation at the door.
