7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Join us once more at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum for another engaging lecture related to life in early settler Victoria. In the mid-19th century, gender relations were being redefined from Britain to British Columbia, partly by industrialization, partly by immigration, and partly by the example of Victoria and Albert and the rise of the 'middle class'.

These changing values were among the imports brought to Victoria by settlers like the Roscoes, and seen reflected in the streets (and bedrooms) of the city.  Kate Humble is an historian and the Curator for Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites, known for her characteristic brand of lively storytelling and historical accuracy.

Illustrated lecture 7:30pm - $10/cash per person. As seating is limited, tickets must be reserved ahead of time at [email protected].
