With a sultry voice that travels easily through four octaves, Lorraine Nygaard gets as much a kick out of delivering the complex melodies of traditional jazz standards as she does is in grooving in contemporary pop and soul. Diverse and fascinating life experiences support her rich story-telling through song, and this spirited intonation delivers and delights audience members of all ages.
Accompanying Lorraine on piano is Louise Rose, who has been called a living Canadian treasure. Well-known as a stunning pianist, vocalist, accomplished choral conductor, composer, motivational speaker, teacher, facilitator and caring mentor, Louise brings a wealth of experience and grace to all she does.
On bass is John Lee, a young multi-instrumentalist that smiles as wide as his various talents. John has wowed audiences with his exemplary skills on drums, piano and bass, and you will be moved by his spirited delivery.
This will be a special night to inspire you. The trio will explore jazz standards from the early 1930s, to the pop and folk-inspired tunes of the 70s, to Lorraine's originals from 2017. Whether you are a single, a couple, or a group of friends out to enjoy an evening, prepare to be lifted.
