Florence Bell has a lot to say about ‘Old Cumberland’. She arrived in the Cumberland area at the age of four and spent her youth playing with the children of Happy Valley and the Royston Lumber Mill while attending Minto school. Flo raised her family in and around Cumberland, and over the years was involved with the Heritage Commission, the Cumberland Museum and Archives, the Coal Creek Historic Park Committee, and more. She is known by friends as ‘Flo on the Go!’.
The museum and Old Cumberland are creating opportunities for the community to connect with our elders. Join Florence Bell under the shade tent on the lawn of the museum for a glass of lemonade and a chat on Friday, August 3rd from 10am to noon.
All ages welcome! Stay tuned for more ‘Living Libraries with Old Cumberland’. The event will move into the museum if inclement weather.
