Live To Dream; A benefit concert for Victoria Hospice

The story behind Live to Dream, by Dr. Peter Houghton, a Victoria-based MD:
When I was growing up in South Africa I was taken by our school to my first ever symphony concert in the Pietermaritzburg City Hall. I was ten, and a young girl the same age as me was performing with the orchestra. I was captivated, only a little bit jealous and have wanted to play with an orchestra ever since. Life put the dream on hold, but I decided several years ago that if ever I could play the Saint-Saens and if an orchestra would do me the honour of accompanying me, it should be part of a concert for some good cause. A few years ago I discovered that Victoria Hospice depends on community donations for half their annual funding. Having had many patients in the final stages of life helped by Victoria Hospice, I knew right away that it would be the perfect cause. Peter is hoping to raise $35,000 in honour of Victoria Hospice's 35th Anniversary this year. Come join him in supporting end-of-life care.
