Celebrate the season musically with Allison Crowe, neighbours and friends in Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter and help “Light Up a Life” – the OCQ’s annual campaign for Haven Society ( http://www.havensociety.com )
Since 1978 Haven has been dedicated in its “mission is to promote the integrity and safety of women, children, youth and families and the development of a respectful and healthy community.”
Throughout the season from Fitzwilliam Gate to the Heritage Mews in Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter share the spirit – visit the merchants to donate a toy, or non-perishable food item or clothing for families in need – or contribute however, and whenever, you can to “Light Up a Life”.
Sing-Along hosts Tracy and Dallas again welcome all into their colourful and cozy Real Food restaurant ( http://www.facebook.com/RealFoodFast ) Find their creative cookery at #3-321 Wesley Street, Nanaimo – and that’s where to enjoy this musical recipe for holiday fun and goodwill.
Warm your heart and voice – the song-sheet features traditional favourites - The First Noel, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, In the Bleak Midwinter, What Child Is This, Silent Night, and O Holy Night - alongside treats from the modern canon of The Beatles and more.
This old-fashioned sing-along is led merrily and brightly by the amazing Allison Crowe.
