Letting it Go - Representative Painting with Eunmi Conachar

The Coast Collective welcomes Eunmi Conacher with this wonderful two day workshop in acrylics and oils.

Day 1: Through exercises, you will learn how to free yourself. I will bring a couple of representational paintings and use them to demonstrate some basics of composition, value, and color theory. After that, you will paint one or two small paintings from an image of your choice or your imagination, and I will help you individually.

Day 2: You will be painting on a larger canvas which will “Let Your Brush Go” in a free flow manner and will allow you to express your individual feeling towards your art. The goal will be to produce a painting from your heart.

Beginner to advanced students will all enjoy this class

about Eumni

I am a Vancouver Island artist. I attended Hong-Ik University in Seoul, Korea, graduating with a BFA degree. I became an active member of The Federation of Canadian Artists in 2008, and an associate member in 2015.

I describe myself as a contemporary impressionist and expressionist artist. My desire is to create paintings which bring energy to the canvas. My use of color, form, and texture is intuitive. My hope is that the viewers connect emotionally with the painting in their own way. The result I strive for is a painting from the heart.
