Thursday, October 21st, 2010
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Nick Roskruge will speak of his activities promoting Maori potato growing, followed by a question and answer session.

This is the second in the Nanaimo Foodshare speaker series and is co-sponsored by the geography and anthropology departments at VIU.
Nanaimo Foodshare is committed to a campaign to establish seed and plant material repositories and databases to maintain healthy diversity and accessible varieties suited to our region. This will require partnerships between scientists, community groups and municipal authorities. The campaign will continue with information on seed storage, over-wintering workshops, and a potato tasting festival in early March.

Entrance 5B for parking off 5th St. (Carl Opgaard Drive) is closest.
