Lecture: The Art of Outgrowing Your Problems with Dan Keusal
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
In contemporary culture, and in many current approaches to therapy, we are taught to respond to our problems with pragmatic, efficient, and so-called evidence-based efforts to “solve” them, with the goal of getting fast relief from our symptoms. C.G. Jung offers a different approach, one that engages and integrates the richness and complexity of the unconscious, and in doing so brings to our lives depth, nuance, meaning, and individuality. He suggests that instead of trying to solve our problems, we might outgrow them. What does this mean, and how can we go about it?
This lecture will explore these questions by unpacking some key ideas from Jung (CW13)
