Women’s Wear: Basic Pattern Making Techniques
Learn proven fashion industry pattern making techniques to professionally manipulate basic blocks to create your own fashion designs. In this hands-on class students will practice the pattern making skills required for creative style development. Students will create a reference book of the pattern making techniques covered in class and leave the class with the ability to interpret and develop their own creative designs. No previous pattern making experience required. This is the perfect class for aspiring designers and beginner patternmakers, or home sewers wanting to learn how to develop their own patterns or manipulate commercial sewing patterns.

Prerequisite: Pattern Making I [or similar]
Wednesdays February 25th, March 4th & 11th, 2015 [6-8:30pm] 7.5 hours total
Cost $120 [including GST & materials]
Course Content:
Session One: Basic Bodice Dart Manipulations for Styling and Design
Session Two: Basic Skirt Styling and Design
Session Three: Basic Sleeve Styling and Design
*Half Scale Pattern Blocks and other supplies will be provided.
