Broken Rhythms is excited to announce its 1st annual #LASHBASH: a fundraiser, party, dance show, and silent auction all in one. The 1st annual #LASHBASH encourages guests to don their very own funky Broken Rhythms signature eyelashes and enjoy an evening of dance, drinks and raising funds.

Broken Rhythms is a busy local company currently remounting works for the #LASHBASH, preparing for the tour of their production SEVEN, which is traveling to the Edmonton International Fringe Festival this August, and planning their fourth full-length production to premier in Victoria February 2016. After four years, multiple shows, collaborations and community projects, Broken Rhythms received their non-profit status in February.

In celebration of this, the Edmonton tour and our first fundraiser #LASHBASH, we are re-mounting audience favourites from the three Pick of the Fringe-winning shows, Spark, Grim and SEVEN to perform at our fundraising event. This event focuses on where we came from, celebrates what we have accomplished and looks forward with excitement to where we are going next.

Background

Broken Rhythms has won 5 Pick of the Fringe awards in the past three years, was nominated for an Monday Magazine “M” award, and participated in creative projects around Canada including Ghosts of Rorschach, Under the Gun, Alchemy of Change, Dance Days, Bounce around the Building, Caberaiser, Amazing Chase, LOLA project, Spoken Word Festival, Upstairs Dance, Scotiabank Dance Centre showing, Votive Dance, and three successful Fringe Festival shows.
