Land Matters - Exploring how we connect to our land through people, places, presence and prospects. At PechaKucha Night Nanaimo Vol.6, presenters will explore how the land we live on plays a vital role in our relationships with others, how we connect to a sense of place, the presence we create, and how we look towards our future.

How does our land stimulate community, encourage identity, and create meaningful context? Using Nanaimo as a case study, inspiration, or reference, speakers will share experiences and insights that have influenced their practice.

PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple but powerful presentation format where speakers show 20 images, each for 20 seconds (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, is an effective and compelling format for multiple-speaker events. Nanaimo is an authorized PechaKucha city. This event has been developed in collaboration with Vancouver Island University. Doors & Drinks @ 7pm | Show @ 8pm
