K��moks First Nation Welcome Ceremony

We are extremely honoured to have an elder, Donna Mitchell, from the K’òmoks First Nation come to do a welcoming ceremony for our Celebration of Canadian Indigenous Literature on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 10:30 am at the Hornby Community Hall.
As we are living, working and playing on the unceded traditional territory of the K’òmoks First Nation, we would like to encourage you all to come in respect and acknowledgement of the K’òmoks First Nation and territory on which we stand. This is a free event and all ages are welcome.
The welcome will be approximately 15 minutes and will be followed by the children and family portion of the Writer’s Festival (ticketed) which will include family-oriented stories and songs with our amazing authors.
