The John Howard KidStart mentoring program and Mudsharks Coffee are joining forces again to host an afternoon of art and fun for kids ages 4-12! Join us at Mudsharks in Courtenay on Saturday, August 19th from 2-4 pm to have a beverage and learn about KidStart while painting on the patio! For a $5 fee, kids will receive their artistic materials, an art lesson from local artist Tracy Kobus, and the chance to see their work hanging in the Mudsharks gallery for the month of September.

The event will be topped off with a gallery viewing event on August 31st from 4:30 to 5:30 at Mudsharks to celebrate and share the creative talents of the Valley’s kids! The paintings, along with a special piece by Tracy Kobus, will then be available for purchase with all proceeds supporting children and youth to participate in KidStart.
