Now’s your chance to try kayak sailing! Learn to raise and lower your sail, and store your sail flush on the deck when not in use. Learn techniques to sail across the wind and downwind. Our sails mount on the front deck of the kayak with a suction cup, allowing you to use your paddle freely. So, you will also learn to apply useful kayak strokes to use in conjunction with a sail, and what to do if you capsize!

Please note that the sails attach best to fibreglass or thermoform decks, so if you’re bringing your own kayak to the clinic, please ensure it’s made from fibreglass or thermoform. Note that polyethylene plastic kayaks are not suitable for this clinic. If you don’t own or have access to a fibreglass or thermoform kayak, you can rent one from us for the clinic.

Suitable for Ages: 16 and up
Cost (includes instruction and sail):  $95
Kayak and Paddling Gear Rental:  $35
Prerequisites:  Basic rescue skills and kayaking strokes
