Stop by the Gage Gallery for my solo show. Open Tuesday to Saturday. As a plein air painter, capturing the freshness and impression of a scene is most important to me and is the foundation of my work. I capture the essence of a place leaning towards abstraction. When I am painting on site I am thinking about the history of that place, other memories people may hold, what the environment might have looked like in the past and what it might look like in the future. All moments in time are juxtaposed.

Plein air works from around Vancouver Island will be on display as well as larger studio works created from memory.

A reception will be held Friday, March 8 from 5:30-7:30pm
