Gallery 223 is a proud supporter of Vancouver Island artists and is very pleased to host this show featuring the work of the FCA and 26 talented artists. Lisa Danesin, Deborah Daffe and Jacqueline Smith received Awards of Excellence for their submissions. The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a community of artists whose mission is to share and promote the passion and pleasure of the visual arts through exhibition, education and communication. Founded in 1941 by a group of influential artists, including Group of Seven luminary, Lawren Harris, it continues to operate as a non-profit organization with chapters throughout Canada. The Arrowsmith Chapter is a very active member of the Association.
