Calling all reggae rockers, Dancehall hoppers, JamBand heads and Music Lovers in general to come out, enjoy, and support this event. We are a doing a top notch, professional live recording with Rick Salt and Island Pacific Studios in cooperation with The Queens in Nanaimo and we need your good vibes !!!

All those who attend this event will be giving a card that will link you to a site where you can download our EP for the upcoming studio album that is set to be released this coming summer. But on top of that, all of you will be invited to sign the guest book and give an email to which we will send the entire LIVE ALBUM for FREE DOWNLOAD when we have mixed and mastered it. After all, you will all be a part of that album ....

Opening the show will be ALLI SUNSHINE and THE BLUE SPARROWS who are a great local band busting onto the scene. Don't miss a beat of her band laying down some groovy jam band rhythms!!!

Jon Bone is a dedicated and very talented artist from Vancouver Island who first hit the scene in the spring of 2007 when he and his band project, The Karuna Movement, began to share their message of hope and inspiration through the soothing vibrations of their unique and powerful music. They call it, "Soul reggae with a funky twitch!" For the last few years they have been touring steadily throughout Western Canada and have been featured at several major festivals including Calgary Reggae Festival, Diversity Festival, and a headlining slot performing to a captivated audience at Islands Folk Festival. Jon is currently touring with tight trio of energetic and very skilled musicians from The Karuna Movement, quite suitably calling themselves Karuna Vibes...

As his career has progressed, Jon Bone has had the fortunate of sharing the stage with many great artists such as Clinton Fearon, Mishka, Rootz Underground, John Brown's Body, Delhi to Dublin, Culture Brown, Shane Phillip, IBO, Moses Maze, Randeesh, Kostaman, and Goodbye Beatdown. Jon also enjoys radio play on stations all across Canada and Globally including CHLY 101.7 FM, CHMO 900 AM, VIBE 98.5 FM, CJSW 90.9 FM, CBC Radio 3, and many more. As the hype and fan base has grown, Jon Bone and The Karuna Movement have found themselves featured in magazine and newspaper publications all over Western Canada lending even more momentum to this musical movement...

In the summer of 2010, along with virtuoso harmonica player, Miles "Happy Feet" Howe, and percussionist Matt Belcourt, Jon rode a bicycle all the way across Vancouver Island, some 600km, on the 1st Annual Tip to Tip Bike Trip: Musicians for Mother Nature. They rode from town to town, playing 17 shows along the way, spreading some good vibes, and raising awareness for The Wilderness Committee, The Georgia Straight Alliance, and Greenpeace. Jon has also performed a host of other charity shows for non-profits including the MS Society, The Cowichan Green Community, The Pakistani Flood Relief, The UN International Peace Day, and many more ...

When Jon's not on tour, you will find him in the studio where he's been patiently and persistently working on The Karuna Movement's debut album entitled, "Island Life", which is set to be released in the summer of 2011. There is also a Karuna Vibes live album and a few singles from Jon's upcoming solo album in the works for the new year so stayed tuned!!!
