Gardeners Green Folk Club is very pleased to present the next in our house concert series, an evening with Jocelyn Pettit and her band, on Saturday May 7th at 7 pm.

Some of you will have seen her at Gardeners Green a couple of years ago, and know what a warm and outstanding performance she gives, which is why we're so excited to have her back. She has a new CD out, and will be bringing her band of four as well, her mother Siew on keyboards, her dad Joel on bodhran, guitarist Colm MacCarthaigh, and whistle player Erik Musseau.

Jocelyn is fiddler extraordinaire, as well as providing vocals and step dancing. Together they play engaging and uplifting original and traditional music inspired by the Canadian and Celtic cultures of Cape Breton, Quebec, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and Galicia. With a love of travelling and sharing the joy of music, Jocelyn has performed with grace and passion on stages across Canada, the U.S., Scotland, France and Malaysia. She performed at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, to a packed BC Place Stadium, for the Victory Medals Ceremony. She has shared the stage with Scottish legends The Battlefield Band, and Irish supergroup The Chieftains as part of their 50th anniversary world tour. Jocelyn has delighted audiences everywhere she goes, and Gardeners Green will be no exception.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $20, which includes hot drinks and a fingerfood buffet.

All proceeds go directly to the performers.
