Jim Baron is a singer-songwriter who started playing and singing professionally in Winnipeg at the age of twelve. He has fronted numerous bands across Canada and performs an eclectic selection of music from Graffiti Rock to Classic Favorites. Jim toured Canada and the United States and has worked with the Legends of Rock and Roll for ten years as a Buddy Holly tribute artist‎.

Jim’s most recent album is called “What Rhymes with Zunga?” and features all original songs written and performed by Jim about Powell River and the Sunshine Coast. (A Zunga is a word unique to the coast meaning a rope swing near or over a lake or the ocean) WRWZ has received air play on coastal radio stations and The Powell River Song has become an unofficial anthem for the city with views climbing daily on Youtube.‎ His album is for sale digitally at Bandcamp or can be purchased at live concerts. Jim’s music is uplifting, energetic and always danceable. ‎He possesses a truly versatile and unique voice that spans a wide range and styles of music.

Jim does not use set lists, lyrics, music or electronic reminders during his performances. His performances change and adapt to his audiences and he can choose from over one thousand memorized songs any given night. Join Jim for a memorable evening of dancing memories.
