Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Jesus Christ Superstar is an iconic rock opera that reinvented musical theater for the modern age. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this global blockbuster tells the story of the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ, from the perspective of Judas Iscariot. As Christ’s followers grow more zealous, Judas must make his historic choice between faith and betrayal. Schmooze Productions presents this iconic story by reimagining it for our contemporary audiences by asking the question, “What if Jesus came today?”. To add to the excitement, we are presenting this show “in the round,” with audiences sitting on all four sides of the action.
