Friday January 23rd, 2015 Jesse Roper is bringing his electrifying guitarwork to Sugar to celebrate the release of his new album "Red Bird". Having rocking the island this past summer playing shows at VICfest, Tall Tree, Rock of the Woods, Rifflandia and more, this show will be an experience you won't forget.

Jesse Roper
With an explosive live show, the genuine quality and charisma of his versatile blues rooted soul, rock and country funk is as approachable as his charm. Quickly gaining momentum, the wheels on Jesse's faithful van keep turning, chronicling a year of extensive touring and success of becoming a major festival draw.

The nostalgic may appreciate his throw back vibe akin to Stevie Ray Vaughan and vintage Texas blues, however, Jesse Roper's music remains current, the organic rawness of his vocals and guitar over shadowing any preconceived stereotypes made of blues musicians. His youthful energy captivates audiences while his knock out live performance blows them away.

Band of Rascals
Band of Rascals is some of the finest foot stompin', hootin’ ‘n’ hollerin’, hoe down, craze driven, tasty blues born rock ‘n' roll that you'll find this side of the country.

Formed in June 2013, the band quickly released two music videos for their singles, 'Down to You' and 'Held in Thought (Not by You)' to an overwhelmingly positive response. Fueled by the success of their singles, the band quickly gained a large and loyal following, resulting in a string of sold out shows, an exciting summer festival circuit, and a very successful EP pre-order campaign.

The band recently released their self-titled debut EP on November 7th and are already hard at work, embarking on a BC tour in November, and a follow up Western Canada tour in the new year.

Johnny Regimbal (Acoustic) 
With a soul much older than his age, Johnny Regimbal is a rare example of classic preservation. His music is deep routed in early blues, country, rock and blue grass featuring a gritty soulful voice riding on skillfully played guitar parts. Coming from a family of musician’s Johnny found is calling early in life and never looked back, learning a wide variety of instruments from his father. He finds influence from past greats like; Muddy Waters, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Earl Hooker and Levon Helm. 
Johnny is also a front-man in Victoria BC based rock group “Deep Sea Gypsies” Established in 2010 the group has become prevalent on the western Canadian music scene and plays an original innovative combination of 60’s psych blues rock, 70’s southern rock and hip hop. 
Johnny is currently working on his debut solo EP at the “Gypsy Den studio” in Victoria BC but has already released an array of home recorded covers and original demo’s. With a passion for live performance and the open road on his mind it is likely to catch him in your neck of the woods sooner than later.
