Judy-Anne began performing in high school with her guitar after which she left for Toronto to seek her fame and fortune. Since then she has performed across Canada and throughout the Eastern United States on stage, film, radio, and television. Having studied with Sheila Jordan and Jay Clayton she has been honoured to work with many great Canadian musicians over the years including Tommy Banks, PJ Perry, Tommy Doran, Mike Lent, Bob Stroup, Charlie Austin and others.
After loosing her husband and musical director to cancer 1996 she contracted Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Fibromyalgia herself and was bedridden for over three years. She has fought her way back to the stage twice since and was preparing her third comeback concert when COVID hit. Moving to Nanaimo in 2021 has seen her health improve dramatically and she has been able to connect with local musicians and put together a 2 set concert for her Island debut. The repertoire will include a variety of jazz standards and swing tunes.
Local musicians include:
Guitarist: Brad Shipley
Bassists: Rick Kilburn
Drummer: James McRae
Saxophonist: Larry Miller
All are welcome to attend. Dancing will be encouraged
