Colwood's Church of the Advent is excited to present two of Vancouver Island's most sought after musicians in a rare duo performance at this month's jazz vespers. Adrian Dolan with Marc Atkinson will close off the sixth season of Church of the Advent's Jazz Vespers series. With musical influences that range from jazz to classical to folk and roots, these superb musicians promise a unique and unforgettable Jazz Vespers experience.
After more than a decade of touring and recording together in the 5-piece powerhouse JUNO-nominated group The Bills, Adrian Dolan (violin, viola, accordion) and Marc Atkinson (guitar, mandolin) are bringing together their diverse musical backgrounds as an instrumental duo for the first time in 2011. Both superbly talented performers and composers in their own right, their musical chemistry thrives on the simplicity and freedom of a duo setting.
