Jazz Affair on the Coast

It will be a night of big band sound as The New Lionel Hampton Band Workshop Ensemble takes the stage for the 14th annual Jazz Affair hosted by Friends of Nanaimo Jazz Society.
Bassist Christian Fabian, alto sax player Cleave Guyton, Trumpeter Anibal Martinez and Lance Bryant on tenor sax makes up this quartet of Lionel Hampton band regulars. The four have been playing together for a number of years and look forward to bringing their talents to the Jazz Affair stage at the Coast Bastion May 24.
They will be joined by the hottest best musicians from Nanaimo. School District 68’s top music students will also be performing that evening. Doors open at 6pm.
Tickets for the evening are $65 and include a delicious buffet dinner. There will also be a silent auction and raffles.
