Jan Dong�s paintings reflect her love of vibrant colours. Her pieces often start with a composition of shapes which leads to a sense of exploration. She likes to layer bright bold strokes of colour to give the painting depth and intensity.
She is greatly influenced by the abstract expressionist artists.

Jan�s abstract paintings and mixed media work continuously evolve due to her personal changes, growth and inspiration. Her goals are to evoke a sense of energy and movement.

Jan�s art education includes the Victoria College of Art, Art School Victoria, Bill Porteous Studio, and the Metchosin International Summer School of Arts. Her paintings have appeared at Goward House, Saanich Municipal Hall, Ministry of Health, Legacy Art Gallery and in Jiangmen, China.
