The James Bay Market is in fully swing for the 2016 Season! The Market opened on May 7th on a wonderful sunny spring morning.

We welcomed back all of our wonderful farmers plus a new addition, Luke from Art Farm, a backyard gardener from right here in James Bay. The strawberries were so early this year that Gobind had their market table brimming with their juicy crop. Nathan Freeman, one of our bakers, featured their strawberries in his shortcake. They tasted fantastic! All the early crops are on the farmers' tables. Come down and purchase some farm fresh produce straight from our farmers' fields and greenhouses. Boughneath Farm is back with his organic beef and sausages just in time for the BBQ season. Our long time artisan crafters are back with many new additions to our lineup. We welcomed new vendors in woodworking, copper crafting and cardmaking to name a few. Our jewelry makers have numerous new additions to their product lines.

There are new introductions by our soap vendors; both soap scents and products to tempt you. There is clothing for the young and old, hats galore, knitting and crocheting. Wine, beer, spirit and cider tastings take place weekly. We welcome Sea Cider to our Market. Drop by and visit them. They are located on Farmers' Row. Spinnakers Brew Pub is in their usual location along Superior Street offering free tastings to everyone over 19 years of age.

Food for every taste be it International, donuts, french fries, hot dogs, or pasties are available to tempt your appetite. We welcome new bakers with baquettes, bagels, gluten-free baking and our old favourites are there as well. Singing Bowl Granola has added French bread to her table and Nathan's Fine Baking is back with all our old favourites. Jams, jellies, pickles, hot and dipping sauces are featured at a number of our vendors. There are handmade cards, artwork and so much more. We are continuing to feature live music from local musicians. There are three sets from individual musicians to group each Saturday.

Come see us rain or shine every Saturday May 7 to September 24th from 9 to 3 on the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay and take advantage of lots of available parking (free on Superior).
