Jack and Jill - A Shawnigan Players Theatrical Production

Jack and Jill is the Theatre Critics Association Award winner by playwright Jane Martin (Anton in Show Business, Vital Signs, Pulitzer-nominated Keely and Du) that dares to ask the question: What the heck do humans want?
Fast moving and hilariously heartbreaking, it follows the eponymous characters as they try to figure out needs from wants, desires from lusts, and how all the weirdly shaped bits of two different lives can fit together (and whether they even should). It's all very well for romances to roll end credits after the first kiss, but few show that life continues after that. Martin's play spans years in Jack and Jill's on-again, off-again, and warily-circling-each-other relationship through highs and lows and joys and frustrations; and they face it all with courage and fear, love and trepidation.
One thing we can guarantee: at some point during this play, you'll find yourself nodding in recognition. This Shawnigan Players production stars stage veterans Laura Faulkner (last seen in As You Like It) and Matt Williams (most recently in The Real Thing), and they take full advantage of these flawed, funny, and very human characters.
